A dual citizen of Mexico and the U.S., and a 30-year resident of Latin America, the bilingual Ben Calderoni first established a realty office in San Miguel de Allende in 2000, easily bridging the Mexican National and expat real estate market. An ex-oil field executive and University of Texas business graduate, Ben’s 32 years as a real estate broker includes finely-honed pro forma skills in assessing commercial property opportunities—and realistic residential valuations—promoting Ben to the sole broker for both seller and buyer of the boutique Hotel Matilda site.
Ben represented both the seller and buyer of the property site that became the internationally-lauded Hotel Matilda.
Ben also represented the Mexico City-based sellers of the luxury Rosewood San Miguel site—after securing all city permits for development—but Ben equally enjoys working with his internationally-based residential clientele, including the buyer of the home sold by an international celebrity band- leader. Ben’s wife, Merry Calderoni, is a highly-respected international artist, owning Fabrica La Aurora’s inaugural gallery, Calderoni Art; their daughter Crystal operates CrystalizeYou and works with Alma Realty.
