Gregory R. Gunter

For the expat client exploring the move to Mexico—including real estate options—Partner Greg Gunter offers a fresh wealth of personal insight. After an initial visit to San Miguel in 2001, he bought land here in 2006 and can share experience into designing & building a new home, as well as extensive business, legal, and lifestyle insights from a relative newcomer’s perspective.

As co-founder of U.S. based 3rd Works, Greg’s firm managed the retail tenant development of The Forum Shops in Las Vegas.

An architect with an M.B.A. from the University of Colorado, Greg offers 30 years experience in the real estate industry—including commercial brokerage tenure with Marcus & Millichap, and residential sales—and was part of the development teams responsible for landmark U.S. retail projects like the $625 million Academy Awards’ venue, Hollywood & Highland, and the Las Vegas shopping mecca, The Forum Shops. As a designer, his self-designed home earned a “Home of the Year” award from Colorado Homes & Lifestyles magazine, and was featured in the Wall St. Journal and Denver Post.
A serial entrepreneur, Greg focuses on brand strategy, marketing and public relations and polishes his wordsmith skills writing for international publications, from International Living to our local expat newspaper, Atención. A lifelong contributor to the community, he currently sits on the board of local nonprofit Patronato Pro Niños, also donating energy to the Biblioteca and other organizations.
